Candied Plantains

Hello MCCN readers! I wanted to share a recipe with you that I had so much fun making. Back in 2022, I set up my phone to go on an adventure in my kitchen. I bought some plantains, but I wanted to do something a little different. So, I decided that I was going to give them a very sweet buttery approach.

You know, sort of like candied yams. So, I ended up calling them “candied plantains.” Now, this video in raw form has been sitting in my phone for the last three years. I think I am ready to share it with the world.

One more thing! I am calling this a recipe, but I am very much like the old school grandmas. They are good for saying things like: “Put in a pinch of this, and a little bit of that.” Yup, that’s me…I roll with unspecific measurements. Doing things to taste works for me, and it’s how I have fun in the kitchen.

So, check out this video. It’s simply to show that being experimental in the kitchen is a wonderful thing. I like to call it having a “non-boring kitchen.”
